Today, as we celebrate International Women’s Day, I want to acknowledge the achievements of and contributions made by women every day, as well as remember the challenges that women continue to face.
As a mother and grandmother, it’s incredibly important to me that our daughters and granddaughters grow up in a world where they are protected, valued and considered equal.
I have long fought for the rights and safety of victims – particularly victims of sexual harassment and assault – and sponsored legislation that enhances crime victims’ protection from harassment and abuse. But the fight is not over, and we cannot stop until every woman is heard, protected and not afraid to stand up and roar.
Elect me to fight for better programs calling out abuse, empowering women and leveling the playing field to advance our district’s future!
