BettyLou DeCroce Says State AG’s Interference In East Hanover School Policy Is a Violation of Parents’ Rights

“We are witnessing another incidence of overbearing state government bullying with the State Attorney General filing suit against the Hanover Board of Education because of an issue involving a parent’s right to know what goes on in their children’s schools.

Gov. Murphy is using the taxpayer-funded resources of state Attorney General to create an issue regarding transgender children.

This is another instance of Woke Democrats trampling the rights of a local school board and parents to know set policies that will provide valuable information to parents and to help children who may be struggling with gender issues while at school.

Parents have a right to know who and what their children are coming into contact with  in the classroom, in the school bathrooms, in the locker room, and on the playing fields and courts. And parents of children who are experiencing sexual identity problems should be made aware of that.

While the AG and Gov. Murphy are playing pandering politics with a serious issue, I want to fight to protect parent’s rights and the right of young women to compete on equal ground in sports. Parents have a right to know if there is a transgender boy competing in girls’ sports or sitting with them in the locker room.

Gov. Murphy and his divisive liberal policies are taking New Jersey in a direction that the majority of state residents do not want to go — and he is doing it because he wants to garner national attention for his run for U.S. President. Sadly, he is exploiting  the small town of Hanover to gain national notoriety from the far-left wing of the Democratic Party.  I am very concerned that this reckless action by the state will have serious consequences for people living not only in Hanover Township, but throughout New Jersey.”
